Who are we?
We are five journalism students taking the course named JMSC 0073 Online Journalism taught by Professor Masato Kajimoto in the University of Hong Kong.
Why & When we started such a website?
When Professor Kajimoto assigned us with this multimedia package assignment, it was the time when Japan was facing the worst nuclear crisis since the Chernobyl disaster, and because Hong Kong is close to Japan in every aspect, our group decided to produce multimedia contents such as audio slideshows and non-linear presentations that tell the story of how Hong Kong government, organizations and people have reacted to this crisis.
What is our aim?
Although this is a website made as a final project for the course, it is hoped that after viewing, reading and hearing the multimedia contents presented on this website people, especially Hong Kong citizens will have a clearer idea on what nuclear power means to Hong Kong, and will be able to build up a stance as to whether they should support or oppose its use.
How do we cover it?
We have tried to reach out different Hong Kong people who participated or joined events that is related to this current issue. Different elements are used for our readers to visualize the different happenings that took place in Hong Kong and Japan.
