This news website is an experimental learning platform for the undergraduate students taking journalism courses at the Journalism and Media Studies Centre, the University of Hong Kong.
Our coverage area is the Central and Western District, one of the 18 administrative districts in Hong Kong and the home of more than 250,000 Hong Kongers where our university is located.
Coupled with the wiki project, our primary focus is to report on the news events, social issues and people’s concerns in university’s neighborhood.
All stories on this site are the works of students. The instructor has discussed story ideas with the students but their assignments have not been edited for grammar, spelling, and English-language usage for an educational reason (each author must be responsible for what she publishes under her name). The substance of each story, therefore, is the work of its author. If you have reactions or corrections to any of the content, please post a comment at the bottom of the relevant story.
